This is my Email to a professional, I sent my email to the Regional Magazine Company, where I have asked  questions which are linked to my questionnaire which I am asking 5 people to fill out, the first question which I asked was "how many people would you say read regional magazines?" I have asked this question because I would like to know how popular they are within the community, this would be the answer to the fact that there are allot out there, and are more and more being generated everyday, this wouldn't happen if there was no-one reading them.
The second question which I asked was "what age range of people read magazines the most?" This is the question which I wanted to know the answer to the most, this will help me lots with getting to know the age range better for my target audience. I have also asked this question within my questionnaire so I can get a better understanding on what I'm aiming my final piece on.
The third question "how may times do they get released" I have asked because I would like to know whether they are released on a weekly basis or monthly.
Question 4 I asked "where do you distribute your magazines to?" This question I have based my target market on also, because if they are released onto a bus for example I would say that older people would read them, where as if they were realised at a salon I would say that middle aged people would read them, this will also help my discover my target audience just like question 2.
The last question which I asked was "how do you decide what the layout of the magazine is going to look like before it is distributed?" this question I am hoping to get a response to because this will help me allot within my designing stage of creating my magazine. Like how I could layout my front cover, my double page spread etc..
I am hoping to get a reply from one of the members of staff within the company, because this will help me allot when i come to designing and deciding what I am going to make my magazine about.

This Image is for my ancillary form research, i have added it onto my blog because it will help me when i come to designing my front cover, double paged spread and my editors letter. As you can see i have collected images of other fashion magazines, there front covers, double paged spreads and some editors letters. I have done this because it gives me a feel of what i could make mine look like, the front coveres which i have added are from vogue and ELLE , i have added these in because these are the magazines which i want to take inspiration from, and these are the ones which i want my magazine to look like. I have also added in front covers from different seasons, winter and summer, i have done this because i will also need to choose a season for when im going to realease my regional magazine, so this gives me an idea on what they usually look like in different seasons.
As you can see with the winter front covers they usually have more dull colours, or they have the bright primary red, which connotes christmas, and the summer front covers have bright primary colours, with a nice sunny background on the main image. I will need to choose which season i am going to release my mangazine in to decide which look i will be going for.

I have also been looking online trying to find helpful websites which could help me when I come to creating my final piece on Photoshop, so I can see different techniques which are available for me to use. As I was searching through Google images I came across this website : http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/photoshop-photo-effects-part-iii/

The website is called '50 Excellent Photoshop Photo effect's'. They list 50 easy to use tutorials which you could add to your Photoshop image, to make the image sharper, or to create a vintage effect etc... I have got some inspiration from looking at this website for when I come to creating my final piece's because I can try to get the best looking piece which I can.

When I come to designing my final product I will be deciding what software will be easier for me to use, and which one will give me the best possible final piece that I could give. Also If I don't have lots of experience of using that software I will be looking at tutorials which will help me understand how you use basic and experienced techniques. So Google and YouTube will be helping me through this.

This is the link to my Audience Research -Pilot questionnaire:
https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Y3SYFNY

This is some of the bar charts which I have received from people answering my survey on survey money, these bar chars which show me how many people read regional magazines, and how old there are.  As you can see from the first bar chart you can see that everyone who answered my survey reads regional magazines, this is very helpful to me because it means that if I needed any more information to help me create my final piece, I could create another survey with more questions, and I will know that these people read regional magazines so they will be the best people to ask.
From the second bar chart considering age I also know that the age range which would usually read regional magazines Is ages 30-50. I will be narrowing this down in my final questionnaire to pin point what age reads them the most, this will help me when I come to designing my magazine, because I will be trying to attract this age group with things like my typography and the images which I am adding to my magazine.

This is the second part of the analysis which I have collected from the responses on my questionnaire, the information from these bar charts are very important for my designing stage of my magazine because I will need to know what kind of layout people like the most and also what they read them for to make sure I am adding in relevant information which people will read. The first bar chart shows what people read regional magazines for, the result was 50/50 with people reading it for news and for business, this Is helpful for me because it shows me that when I think about what I am going to put into my magazine I need to make sure that there is news in there and also relevant information for people In business, I cant base the magazine for every business which we provide in Leicester, but I can pin point a business and base my magazine on that, including some useful news. I will look more into this to make sure I pick the right business.

This is the second link to my Final Questionaire :

Here are two bar chars from the results which I have received back in my final questionnaire, the first bar chart shows what kind of colour scheme they would prefer to see in my magazine, and everyone who filled out my questionnaire selected 'matching with the season' so this is what I will be doing within my final piece,  I will be selecting the season which I want my  magazine to be released and match the colour scheme to that season. The second bar chart was for what kind of fonts they would like to see within my magazine, The majority of people selected a serif font, this will fit in very nicely Into my magazine because It is more feminine looking, and I am aiming my magazine to woman. It is also very classy and new looking which is the effect I want to create with my magazine. 20% of people also said they wanted to see large fonts, I can incorporate the two of them together for the mast head to create a large serif font.

From the responses from my final questionnaire above I have also discovered that most people would like me to talk about fashion at 30% of people. 20% would like me to talk about property and food, I could look at incorporating them all together, or I could just choose to do fashion, I will be deciding this later on in the blog when I come to creating.  I can also see that people would prefer me to  use a formal mode of address, this is good because it also makes the magazine sophisticated and would help it appeal to my target audience of ages 20-40 woman.

This is an image of what I have put onto Social Media. Using Facebook I have added in the link to my final questionnaire, this will help me get a wider range of audience feedback on my questionnaire, from all sorts of age groups, the only issue of putting this onto Social Media is that the ages which use the site are usually younger, where as people who usually read regional magazines are older, so this questionnaire may not appeal to people seeing the link. But even if just a few people answer the questionnaire I can see what they might like to see in my regional magazine, this could help me attract all sorts of age groups.

These are links to clips of a tutorial for how to use an effect on Photoshop, and how to create an effect on fireworks. I have added these clips in because when I come to creating my final piece of my magazine front cover, double paged spread and editors page I will need to know how to use all sorts of software, Photoshop and fireworks I know I will be using when I come to making because I have used them lots before so I am familiar on how to use them. These tutorials are just two of the ones which I have watched to help me create all sorts of effects onto the photo's which I will be using. I will be watching lots more from YouTube because I want to make my final piece the best I can make it and making it look professional, and this is one of the ways I can do that.

Institutional regulations-
The only thing that I will need to consider is that the images which I have taken of my model Shannon aren't taken within my property, and because we are under the age of 18 I cant take images there without permission, but underneath is written permission from the home owner that I can use the images as part of my magazine and I can add them onto my blog.
